Still more catching up to do......

These are a few more family happenings from this year. I'll pick up where I left off after the last blog post. These pics are from late April and were taken after Carter's first Sunday at church. He is SUCH a GOOD BABY! We could not have asked for better! Aubrey cried ALL of the time as a baby and so we braced ourselves for the same experience with Carter but we have been so lucky. He is so easy going- just like his Daddy! He is happy pretty much all of the time and usually only cries when he wants to eat.                              It's  still AMAZING to me!

May was a fun month! Carter was jaundice so we took him to the beach every chance we could get so that he could get some sun. Unfortunately, I forgot my camera every stinkin' time so I don't have any pics of him at the beach but we are going again tomorrow and Dad-Gum-It I am taking some pics and will post them soon (I hope) :). But I did take pics of them at home, so here are a few.....
This is Aubrey's new " Cheezy-Camera Smile" and I think it is so CUTE!

Just a cute pic of my little Carter getting some "Tummy Time". Babies are so beautiful when they are asleep....

Aubrey LOVES to send letters to her Grandparents! They are her favorite pen pals. She got a letter from Grandma Freda with a WHOLE dOLLar $ in it so that she could buy any candy that she wanted! What a sweet Grandma! As you can tell, Aubrey was thrilled about her
"Nim-Nims" (M&M's)!

And Carter was sad because he couldn't eat any of them!
In May, we also went on an amazing vacation to Cocoa Beach that my wonderful hubby planned! Why take a beach vacation when we LIVE at the beach? Because we CAN- and we just wanted to get away from home-not from the beach! We stayed in an awesome Resort and had so much fun. This was the first day that we got there and one of the last times that I took a pic on that vacation. I have to admit that I am terrible about that! I get so caught up in enjoying all of the fun that I just forget to take pics. Anyway- we had an amazing week of fun-in-the-sun, and yummy meals- none of which I had to cook, which of course was the best part!
This pic was courtesy of Nicole.. a late night walk on the beach....

SO much to catch up on- SO little Time.....

So this blog title is pretty much the story of my life! With so much on my plate, (taking care of the kids, hubby, home, church callings and school work- not to mention all of the other little extras that life seems to throw our way) life sometimes seems like a never-ending ToDo list. Life keeps us busy but we're still finding time to enjoy the moments-even if there's not always time to blog about them! I can't believe it's already August- but here are some of the fun things that we have done so far this year......
Aubrey's 2nd Birthday- January 18, 2010! I sure LOVE this girl! She has brought so much laughter to us these past 2 years and I know that her funny personality will keep us laughing for many years to come! She is too smart for her own good but also such a sweetheart and a joy to have as ours. We love our little girl- even though, sadly, she's not so little any more.
February is pretty much a blur. I thought that I was destined to have Carter at any moment and was put on bedrest for a few weeks until I had reached 37 weeks and was considered full term.I continued to have contractions almost daily throughout the day. I began labor at 36 weeks and the doctor decided that I was not far enough along and stopped the labor. So- I waited, and waited, and waited some more... and finally on March 6,2010 at 2am, my water broke. I thought I was just having some bladder issues and dismissed it as that. I was up several more times through out the night with those supposed bladder issues and eventually went to the internet to try and find out if  my water had actually broken. I couldn't get any conclusive evidence that my water had actually broken so I went back to bed until 7am when I couldn't take it anymore and I had to find out what was going on. It was a Saturday morning and I was supposed to be going to a friend's baby shower that day so I got up showered and got ready and told Ryan that I was going to the hospital to get checked since I thought that my water broke. He told me "Oh, You're fine"- famous last words. Well my water did in fact brake, and he hurried to find the camera and a sitter for Aubrey. He had to get Aubrey ready and pack a few essentials for her, drop her off, and then make his way through the Plant City "Strawberry Days" Parade- the biggest event in Plant City.
Well, my hero of a husband made it with only minutes to spare and at 12:37pm on March 6, 2010 we had our beautiful baby boy!
Carter Mark Wallentine
 8 pounds 5.5oz., 21 and1/4 inches long

Aubrey was all smiles at the hospital but bringing Carter home was another story entirely! She has always been pretty mild mannered but another baby in my arms brought out another side of her. She did not want me to hold Carter and cried off and on -ALOT- throughout the first week or so. She didn't want me to hold her either and would throw tantrums (which we now have come to accept as an every day occurance, but were unusual at the time). I remember the first night after I brought him home, I felt so torn. I rocked Aubrey and cried with her and tried to tell her how much we LOVE her and that we would never replace her but that Carter was a member of our family too and we love him too. It hurt to us see her so sad but we kept emphasizing to her how much we love her and how much Carter loves her.
She warmed up to him after about a week and wanted to help with him all of the time! She tried to help a little too much actually. She tried to feed him her gum- actually we never did find that gum so that might have been a successful attempt. She loved poking him in his eyes and ears- she was so excited that he had the same body parts that she did! (well, most of them anyway :)
She still loves him and is a great little helper with diapers, pacifers, and just keeping him entertained.     Aubrey is an awesome Big Sister!
Holidays get more fun every year and Easter was one of those fun memories! We went to Georgia for Easter and saw Stephanie and Bryson. Aubrey has so much of my personality and just like me- she's not a morning person. It takes both of us a while to really get going in the morning so when she woke up to see what the Easter bunny left for her and Bryson, she wasn't too eager to investigate. After she realized the ridiculous amount of candy she got (seriously- the Easter bunny was VERY generous this year) she was a happy camper! She loved the egg hunt later that day too. We didn't have one for her last year but this year she was lovin' it! For a while after that- everytime she went to Bubba's and Grandma Freda's house she has to check the front yard for eggs and candy- Too funny!
