MAY MADNESS...

This month has been crazy but still deserves some recognition so I'm finally taking the time to catch up on all of the fun events of the month!

Ryan's 26th Birthday! Woo Hoo!

Ryan wanted a Red velvet cake for his birthday and I had so much fun making this one!
Here's the birthday boy! It took him a while to think of a wish since all of his dreams came true when he married me- but eventually he gave in and blew out the candle anyway! This pose looks familiar!May 2nd 2009. This is my first ever wedding cake. This was a HUGE learning experience! I should have added more flowers at the top and used the name brand marshmallows for the fondant- like the recipe called for. I used good ones for the bottom layer and it turned out pretty smooth but for the next two layers I thought I could get away with just the store brand but it turned out really bumpy. By the time I figured that out, it was too late to make another batch so I had to use what I already made. It could have been better but it's not bad for a first try!

Aubrey and Avery having their last playdate before our move.Too Cute! Our last late-night Waffle House run for a while. Our waitress told us that we needed the hats for the authentic Waffle House photo experience. I think I was wearing mine backwards since you can't see the "WH" symbol.May 18, 2009. We moved from our cute little duplex in Athens, Georgia that we loved!....

To Our new apartment in Plant City, Florida which we are learning to love.

It's about time!

Finally I found some time to update our family blog! Not really, I should be packing right now but we all know that it gets old quick. Anyway-It has been such a hectic year and this month and last have been the most crazy! It's all been fun though so it's time to catch up on all of the moments that are worth mentioning....
A fEw Of oUr fAvOrITe tHIngS... Aubrey recently learned to climb up on the couch to get a better view of the T.V. This was the second time that she had done this and she was so proud!
She also learned that she can make and even bigger mess by not only scattering her toys everywhere, but now she can throw the couch pillows onto the floor as well.

We caught her quite a few times lately tying to eat the artificial fruit that I use for decoration. What a funny girl!

This is the cake that I made for a baby shower. It was a learning experience for sure! I stressed out over this one and my fondant tasted great but did not work well at all. It also looks like the top layer is crooked- but it's not too bad for my first three-tiered cake. What can I say? I'm not a pro...yet. After making this, I was asked to make a wedding cake which came out so much better than this! Sadly, I forgot my camera and didn't realize it until I got to the reception. I did get some pics on my phone so I'll have to post them later.

This is the whole baby shower spread. It was so yummy! Good job ladies!

Aubrey and "Bubba". We've been tying to get her to say Grandpa for the longest time. She finally started to say it only her version of Grandpa comes out as "Bubba". I guess every family in the south needs a "Bubba" and she sure loves hers!

This is our Easter family picture. Aubrey was not feeling well at all. She had been running a fever off and on for several days so on Easter we took her to the doctor. She had another viral infection for the millionth time. I have no idea how she continues to get these but they sure are bad! Needless to say- she was not very happy during any of the pictures. This was the best one we got. I should have taken one while she was opening her Easter basket too but I was so worried about her that morning that I didn't think about it.

These are some pictures from the park. Aubrey loves the park!
